Rosalie Rodriguez serves as CC's inaugural College Diversity Officer (CDO) whose primary responsibility is leading the Institutional Equity and Belonging initiatives. Previously, Rosalie served as Associate Vice-President for Instututional Equity and Belonging, Senior Associate Dean of Students, and Director of the Butler Center since coming to 今日吃瓜51in 2020. In her time here, she has overseen the expansion and reorganization of the Butler Center, creation of the Rochelle T. Dickey Multicultural Lounge, and led the effort to attain two Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Awards for 今日吃瓜51(2023 and 2024).
Rosalie came to 今日吃瓜51from Bucknell University (2015-2020), where she was the Director of Multicultural Student Services and had previously served as Special Assistant to the President for Diversity & Inclusion at Juniata College (2001-2015), a lead diversity officer position where her worked earned the College a H.E.E.D. award in 2015. She holds a B.S. in Biology and Communication from Juniata College and an M.A. in Community Psychology and Social Change from Penn State Harrisburg. Rosalie is the past President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Multicultural Education (PA-NAME), co-founder of the Pennsylvania Association of Liaisons and Officers of Multicultural Affairs, and a frequent presenter at conferences such as the National Council on Race and Ethnicity.
Rosalie has extensive experience in the field of equity, advocacy, and student affairs, both regionally and nationally. Her research and workshops are focused on the impacts of disparate policies on disenfranchised communities, addressing food insecurity on college campuses, radical self-care for marginalized populations, and building strong and lasting peer mentoring programs. This work earned her a Presidential Award at Bucknell University in 2017 and Outstanding Staff Contribution Award in 2020, and a Victor Cisneros Nelson Diversity & Inclusion Award from 今日吃瓜51 in 2023.
Rosalie is orginally from Buffalo, NY (and therefore a discerning wing connosieur), a proud furmom of three rambunctious overgrown lapdogs, an avid reader of fantasy romance, and enthusisticly engages in anything that allows creativity especially painting, making jewlery, singing and cooking.
